YORKSHIRE HERITAGE' - HEPWORTH BRASS BAND'S LATEST CD
From the rolling hills of the Yorkshire Dales to the brooding Pennine uplands, the wildness of the North York Moors to the seaside traditions of the East Coast, it’s little wonder that Yorkshire folk are proud of their county, its traditions, culture and heritage.
Yorkshire’s rich and varied musical heritage, from folk song, famous choirs, choruses and choral societies to brass bands takes in some famous figures in mainstream music en route, not least Bradford’s Frederick Delius and York born composer John Barry.
Yorkshire Heritage the latest CD from the Hepworth Band celebrates the music of Yorkshire and following the success of Yorkshire athletes at the 2012 London Olympics and with Yorkshire hosting the Tour de France Grand Depart, it provides a perfect opportunity to remind everyone of why Yorkshire is affectionately known as ‘Gods Own County’.
The Hepworth band would like to thank Manrochem Limited, Process Engineers from Huddersfield, for kindly agreeing to sponsor the production of this new CD.
CD’s are available from the band (07709 326893) and we very much hope that you enjoy listening to ‘Yorkshire Heritage’.
