Celeb-packed event 'celebrates individuals who make a significant contribution in the local community'

Jaguar Land Rover is supporting our annual drive to champion local unsung heroes.
The automotive giant is sponsoring the Pride of Coventry and Warwickshire Awards, in association with Virgin Trains.
JLR, whose global headquarters are in Whitley, is the largest manufacturer of premium vehicles in the UK.
The company, which employs 30,500 people in the UK and 1,500 more globally, exports its cars to more than 170 markets worldwide.
JLR is the only UK automotive company to achieve a Platinum Big Tick in the Business in the Community (BITC) Corporate Responsibility Index and was awarded BITC ‘Responsible Business of the Year 2013’ for investments in UK jobs and facilities, improving the environmental performance of its vehicles and manufacturing operations and increasing skills and education opportunities for employees and young people.
A spokesman said: “Jaguar Land Rover is proud to sponsor the Pride of Coventry and Warwickshire Community Awards, which celebrates individuals who make a significant contribution in the local community.”
The Awards, which will support Zoë’s Place baby hospice, will celebrate the most inspiring local people – as nominated by Coventry Telegraph readers.
TV presenter and broadcaster Fiona Phillips will be joined by a host of local celebrities at a glittering ceremony at Coventry Cathedral on Friday March 20.
Singer Letitia George, who is competing in BBC1 show The Voice, Coventry actress Sinead Matthews, singer Hazel O’Connor and West End star Dave Willetts will be taking part in the event.
Rugby star Neil Back, TV and radio journalist Joanne Malin, former BBC Midlands Today presenter Kay Alexander and Olympian and former world record-holding runner David Moorcroft will also be making an appearance.
There will be a diverse programme of entertainment on the night, including live music from Jaguar Land Rover Brass Band, with more local stars taking part still to be revealed.
Tickets for the awards ceremony are £20, which includes a £2 donation to Zoë’s Place.
